OEE

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is the gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity. Simply put – it identifies the percentage of manufacturing time that is truly productive. An OEE score of 100% means you are manufacturing only Good Parts, as fast as possible, with no Stop Time. In the language of OEE that means 100% Quality (only Good Parts), 100% Performance (as fast as possible), and 100% Availability (no Stop Time).

Availability

Availability takes into account time lost due to unavailability. Availability Loss is caused by whatever event causes production to stop in the planned production time.

Performance

Performance takes into account the time lost due to Performance Loss is anything that causes the production speed to decrease from the normal production speed. This includes slow cycles and small stops that are not long enough to count as stop time.

Quality

Quality takes into account the loss incurred by the part that is produced without quality (Quality Loss). The definition of Good Part for Quality (Quality) in the OEE is a part that can be produced perfectly with the first time in the production process. (First Part Yield) without the need for rework
